These terms govern the use of the Lumina — Dream Journal app ("the app"), offered by Claudiu Simion ("we"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What the app offers

Lumina lets you capture your dreams (by typing or voice dictation), organize them in a journal, talk to an artificial-intelligence assistant through several interpretation lenses, and receive interpretation reports and recurring-pattern analyses. The content is informational, reflective and intended for personal growth.

2. The nature of the interpretations. Disclaimer

• Interpretations are generated automatically by an artificial-intelligence model. They may contain errors, approximations or wording that does not fit your situation, and are strictly indicative and for personal reflection.
• The app is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment or medical, psychological or psychiatric advice, nor does it replace consulting a specialist.
• Do not make important health, financial or life decisions based solely on the app's interpretations.
• If you are going through an emotionally difficult time or have thoughts that worry you, reach out to a mental-health professional or, in an emergency, to your local emergency number.

3. The AI assistant and your data

The interpretation features use an artificial-intelligence model (Claude, provided by Anthropic) to generate responses. The text of the dream and the conversation is sent to this service only at your request, in order to generate the response. Please avoid entering sensitive data or data that can identify other people. For details about processing, see the Privacy Policy.

4. Free tier, Premium and subscriptions

• The app can be used for free within a limited number of interpreted dreams. Premium features (unlimited dreams, all interpretation lenses, pattern analysis) are unlocked through a monthly or yearly subscription.
• Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the app store you installed Lumina from — Google Play (on Android) or the Apple App Store (on iOS). Payment is processed by Google or Apple; we do not receive your card data.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal, from your Google Play or Apple account.
• Cancellations, refunds and subscription management follow the policies of the respective store (Google Play or Apple App Store).
• Displayed prices may change; any change applies to future periods.

5. Permitted use

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute, modify, decompile or otherwise exploit the content or features of the app for other purposes without our written consent.

6. Intellectual property

The app, texts, illustrations, the "Lumina" mark and design elements are protected and remain the property of us or the respective rights holders. The dreams and notes you write are yours; these terms do not transfer to you any rights over the app, nor to us any rights over your personal content.

7. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the app, including decisions made on the basis of the content or the interpretations generated by the AI assistant. You are responsible for how you use the app and the interpretations provided.

8. Service availability

The AI interpretation features depend on third-party services (the AI provider, the intermediary service) and on your internet connection. We may modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, certain features, without prior notice.

9. Minimum age

The app is not intended for children under 16. Minors should use it under adult supervision.

10. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. The current version will always be available at this address, with the date of the last update shown at the top. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes will be settled by the competent courts in Romania. As a consumer, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) and to use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ODR).
